As a older single mother of 50 I had my miracle son at 42 and was so overjoyed especially when I was told I would never be able to have children 10 years earlier due to a misdiagnosed untreated eptopic pregnancy that almost killed me and left me with no tube one totally scarred and lacerated during emergercy surgery that left me bleeding internally for days, ending with a doctors diagnosis that I would never have a child the normal way maybe in vital fertilization could help...Devastated that I had lost the child of the love of my life and the prospect of never being a mom I continued my life in a barren state seeing other babies and childern and wanting them so...but I prayed to the Lord and he gave me my future son's step brother to care for and love, and for this I thanked the lord and said I guess you don't always get what you want but you get what you need and I thanked him but then in a revelation I mentioned you know Lord even Michael Jackson and Modanna are having babies how bad am I... Exactly two months later I was two months pregnant no interventions drug or shots just asking for my gift from God and receiving my gift, My doctor couldn't believe it, when she thought that being tired all the time was due to the Change of life onset of menopause, for she knew there was no way for me to become pregnant except for maybe another tubal in the last scarred tube left ten years later.. she feared for time gave me the pregnancy and stated on God you have got to get to the Hospital and have a ultrasound immedately, which I did and thinking in my sadness well there goes the Trip to Turkey I guess I'll have to have sometype of surgery and then the technician said yep there it is bouncing around your uterus around a two month old Baby Boy.... I WAS ECSTADIC OVER JOYED SPEECHLESS, ASK AND THOU SHALL RECEIVE SAID THE LORD my gift my gift from God that I had waited over twenty years for was here...At that moment of joy I knew I was blessed and I guess for the unconditional love I gave to my step son and I did and still love him dearly even at 17 years old today that my life had taken on the one journey I HAD ALWAYS WANTED TO TAKE ..TURKEY WAS GREAT BUT THIS WAS UNBELIEVABLE.. AND THEN THRU THE BABY CLOTHES AND SOME VERY BAD EMOTIONAL TIMES WITH HIS FATHER WE WORKED EVERYTHING OUT AND I WAS SO HAPPY YOU COULDNT MAKE ME SAD EVERY THING NOW IN MY LIFE HAD THIS SILVER LINING.....THEN ONE DAY IT CAME CRASHING DOWN OBSERVING OTHER CHILDERN IN THE PARK NOTICING MY CHILD NOT TALKING, SMILING DISTANTLY CONTENT IN HIS OWN LITTLE WORLD.. WORRIED ALWAYS OF WHAT I FEARED AND BEING CONFIRMED BY ANOTHER MOTHER IN THE PARK WHO RECOGNIZED HIS DISABLILITY AND TRYED TO CALMLY TELL ME ABOUT EARLY INTERVENTION AT ST. MARY HOSPITAL AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE HIM CHECKED FOR AUTISM AND pdd AND OTHER THINGS... IN MY WORST FEAR I DID GO AND THANK GOD FOR THAT ANGEL BECAUSE DUE TO HER MY SON STARTED SPEECH AND GROUPS AND HE SPEAKS VERY WELL AND EVEN ARTICULATES THANKS FROM THE HELP OF HIS FATHER FINANCIALLY ASSISTING ME TO CONTINUE HIS THERAPIES TILL THIS DAY AND MY CONTINUOUS STRUGGLE WITH DOCTORS AND ESE TEAMS AND PRINCIPALS IN SCHOOLS TO NOW GET MY SON INCLUDED AND I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH DOCTOR BRADSTEET AND HE JUST TODAY PROVIDED MY SON WITH A GIFT TODAY OF HIS LATEST MEDICINES GASTROCROM
THAT TODAY GAVE ME MY SON.. HOLDING CONVERSATIONS AND TALKING TO ME DIRECTLY...AWARE OF EVERYTHING AROUND HIM ..MAKES IT ALL WORTHWHILE. I SOMETIMES MAKE THE OTHER MOTHERS I MEET LAUGH BY SAYING I WENT FROM MARALAGO TO WALMART THAT WHEN DONALD TRUMP USE TO TALK TO ME AT MARALAGO IN A DIFFERENT LIFE WOULD ALWAYS SAY WHAT A PERFECT CHILD AND HE WAS PERFECT AND NOW HE IS MY ANGEL THAT KEEPS ME WANTING TO FIGHT FOR HIM AND OTHERS, TO MAKE HIS LIFE BETTER, TO BE INCLUDED BUT MOST INMPORTANTLY I WANT TO PRESENT SOMETYPE OF PROGRAM BEFORE THE R ESE DEPARTMENT TO INCORPORATE SOMETYPE OF SOCIALIZAION PROGRAM IN THIS SCHOOL SYSTEM THAT WOULD ALLOW ALL DISABILED KID NOT JUST PDD AUTISM ETC TO BE ABLE TO INTERMINGLE WITH OTHER STUDENTS CREATE BUDDY SYSTEMS IN LATER YEARS OR NOW SO I KNOW THAT AS HE GROWS OLDER HE FEELS INCLUDED NOT EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY AND CAN LIVE HIS LIFE AMONGST THE BEAUTY OF LIFE AND NOT WITHIN THE ISOLATION OF INTROVERSION AFRAID OR NOT KNOWING HOW TO BE A PART OF THIS WONDERFUL WORLD AND LIVE THIS WONDERFUL LIFE TO IT'S FULLEST WITHOUT ANYONE SAYING YOU CANN'T WHEN HE KNOWS IF GIVEN THE CHANCE HE CAN TRY HIS HARDEST AND MAYBE EVEN FIND THE IDIOT SAVANT THAT I KNOW LIVES WITHIN MY ANGEL MY GIFT FROM GOD THAT SO MANY OTHERS NOT TOUCHED BY AUTISM OR PDD OR OTHER DISABLITIES JUST CAN'T SEE BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO TAKE THOSES ROSEY COLORED GLASSES OFF....IF I CAN ENCOURAGE ONE MOM LIKE OTHERS HAVE ENCOURAGED ME IN MY COMMUNITY AND CHURCH... Hand flapping, Repetitive speech, Repetitive/ritualistic behavior, daily tantrums that were consuming almost 75% of each day, obsession over certain toys/tv shows, limited speech (20 words but not using them properly and repeating the same one over and over), extremely poor social skills (would not even get out of my arms if another child was in the same room), lining objects up in a straight line, always getting colds/flu, constant diarrhea, physical affection only shown on his terms and very rarely, periods of time where he was "zoned out" (lack of focus on what was going on around him) |

1 week after implementing the GFCF diet he was speaking 3-4 x's the amount of words he previously spoke. We did have some increase in bad behavioral problems (yelling/barking, and racking up toys into a pile - aka hoarding) But our DAN! Dr. explained this was called "Dying Off" and it should subside in about 2 weeks. It did! After the 2 weeks he was speaking short sentences and was happy - no more tantrums all day! We now also have him on a multivitamin and he no longer flaps (at all!), he no longer lines toys up, he actually seeks out social relationships with other kids, he makes so much more eye contact and his joint attention is great, he rarely has tantrums (other than the normal 2 year old does), he communicates by actually trying to find the right words, he hugs and kisses us all the time (out of the blue). And he has had PERFECT BM's since starting the diet.

Molly began to show symptoms of autism at 1 year of age. When she started to walk, she walked on her toes and she did not develop language. During the year between 1 and 2, Molly began to slowly slip away from us. She was uninterested in her peers and she would have rather picked bark of trees than interact with her peers. She did not transition well and she did not want to join in group activities such as circle time. Molly did not stool frequently and when she did stool, it was runny, stinky diarrhea. She was unable to control her bowels for potty training. |

If there is any way I can possibly help another parent, help facilitate their child's recovery, I want to help. I feel blessed to have great Doctors, however, I did most of the work all by myself. If I can lessen the load for another parent, their child can get better faster. It has been such a journey, and while we are still recovering, we have come so far and there are so many things Mommys and Daddies need to know to be able to help their child live their best life, and the parents can have better chances of living their best lives as well.. |
