The holidays are over! Now’s the time to relax and prepare for a successful 2018. The best way to get you into the right headspace is with the perfect book. We’ve put together our top 4 books for January’s GR Book Club!
Books We Loved:
Fire Child – Water Child by Stephen Scott Cowan, MD
Candace’s Pick: Fire Child – Water Child is a revolutionary guide to parenting a child with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) that does not rely on “quick fix” medications or pathologizing your child’s challenges. Dr. Cowan helps you understand the Five Types of ADHD and can help you improve your child’s self-esteem and attention.
The Clarity Cleanse by Habib Sadeghi
Zack’s Pick: I’ve been a fan of Dr. Sadeghi since hearing him speak at In Goop Health last summer. I love his concept of healing and how he explains it as a whole body, mind, and spiritual shift. When something in our body isn’t working properly, sometimes we need to look within for true healing to begin. It’s a great tool for caregivers!
Books We’re Currently Reading:
Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease by Yolanda Hadid
Candace’s Pick: Believe Me is an emotional story and important read for anyone dealing with an unexpected catastrophe. Yolanda reveals the details of her journey crisscrossing the world to find answers for herself and two of her children who suffer from Lyme and shares her tireless research into eastern and western medicine.
Judgement Detox by Gabby Bernstein
Zack’s Pick: Gabby is my GURU. Her first book, The Universe Has Your Back, had a great message about trusting our own intuition. I’m excited to dig into this one. Inner-self-critic, goodbye!
