Advice From A GR Grant Family

My name is Jillian and my son Anthony is 2. Anthony was diagnosed with autism on March 16, 2012.  YES, I remember the exact date.

I started the GF/CF (gluten free/casein free) diet the day that I found out  we were accepted into the Rescue Family Grant Program, and have seen dramatic results.

My son had a stimming behavior where he would clap and cross his eyes constantly, this behavior has disappeared! He also had a lot of repetitive behavior at the park, where he would go up the stairs and over the bridge turn around and go over the bridge and back down the stairs, about one week and a half after starting the diet he started to PLAY at the park, NO MORE REpetivie behavior!

If you are just starting the GF/CF diet, please keep faith! Don't get discouraged! I saw significant die off behaviors in the first 8 weeks on the diet and it can be torturous but DONT GIVE UP!!!! keep your head up, keep praying, this is a lifestyle change, and know that in the end this is the best thing you can do for your child! I am so thankful that I have this opportunity to take part in this journey with other mothers going through the same thing as my family and I.
