It was wonderful to finally meet some of the amazing women who open their hearts to share their insights and personal experiences with biomedical treatment and stories of life with kids on the spectrum. I’ve been working with Maryann DellaRocco, Marissa Bagshaw, Tracy Weinstock and Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer to share inspirational and informative information on the Generation Rescue blog for a little over a year. These ladies are a true inspiration to the GR team, the community and myself.
We hope that you enjoy their stories, articles and tips on our blog as much as we do. If you have suggestions for article topics or questions that you would like to ask, please share your feedback in the comments or by sending an email directly to social @ generationrescue.org.
Here’s a little background on each of our wonderful contributors:
Maryann DellaRocco is the mother behind the blog Matthew’s Puzzle, which chronicles her journey into the world of autism and biomedical interventions. She is married and has three boys, her oldest is on the spectrum. Follow her on Twitter: @matthewspuzzle.
Marissa Bagshaw is a mother of 2 children who are recovered from autism. Her blog Spectrum Mum in Malaysia is inspired by her daughters’ journey through autism. Marissa is the founder of KL Biomed, a support network for autism families doing biomedical intervention in Malaysia and neighbouring Asian countries. She is also a co-founder of The Thinking Moms’ Revolution. Marissa lives with her husband and daughters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer is the author of “The Kitchen Classroom: 32 Viusal GF/CF Recipes to Boost Developmental Skills.” She blogs about food and family at www.kitchenclassroom4kids.com.
Tracy Weinstock is Mommy to 5 year-old Aidan who recently participated in our Rescue Family Grant Program.
The Generation Rescue Blog is filled with stories of hope and inspiration, personal accounts of going though various biomedical protocols, and features from doctors including Dr. Jerry Kartzinel, Dr. Bo Wagner and more!
All my best,
