Treatment: Find a Rescue Angel
The following Rescue Angels were found:
Angie Moore
Avon, CT
[email protected]
Marsha Lanzo
Fairfield, CT
[email protected]
Child's Symptoms: Perseverate Behavior, Oppositional Behavior, Language Delay, Limited Memory Recall, Lack of Flexibility, Doesn't understand Abstract
Helpful Therapies: GFCF Diet, Supplements, Craniosacral therapy, Chelation, B12 shots, ABA therapy,
Strengths: I feel in working with many therapists, in the areas of OT, speech, ABA, successfully following diet, and other biomedical intervention that I am qualified to discern good therapists vs. bad, and the same is true in all the disciplines we are working in and trying.
Why I became a
Rescue Angel:
Embracing my son's autism has been a very long journey of faith. I did it with the help of a Rescue Angel. It is now my turn to give back. We leave no stone unturned, and consider our son recovering, not suffering from Autism. He is making a lot of progress. We are hopeful he will fully recover, and will live a full life. I want to share that hope with other parents.

Child's Symptoms: PDD-NOS
Helpful Therapies: Biomedical, homeopathy, RDI
How Therapy Helped: Significantly
Strengths: RDI. Dan Doctors. Homeopathic chelation. GFCF diet.
Why I became a
Rescue Angel:
I came to this site and found a rescue angel which started us on our journey and I'd like to do the same for someone.
Jennifer Groves
Naugatuck, CT

Child's Symptoms: speech, eye contact, responding to name
Helpful Therapies: Biomedical intervention, speech therapy
How Therapy Helped: Significantly
Strengths: I feel very knowledgable in the biomedical process. I have read many books and spent countless hours on the internet doing research. Not to mention the never ending questions I pose to my daughters DAN doctor.
Why I became a
Rescue Angel:
To share the knowledge I have gained along the way. To inform parents that they have treatment options. Supporting the parents new to biomedical intervention is crucial. I found it overwhelming and wish that I had the support of someone who has been down or in the process of going down this path.

Child's Symptoms: All of them! Loss of speech, hand and arm flapping, gut issues, no eye contact, rashes, night walking, towe walking, etc.
Helpful Therapies: GF/CF Diet, biomedical treatment, and it is possible that AIT worked (still working on this)
How Therapy Helped: Significantly
Strengths: My strengths are in biomdedical treatment. My child just started school but I am working on becoming an IEP expert!
Why I became a
Rescue Angel:
To help others and give them hope. Its a lot of information to take in at once. It would be nice if I can give people a short list to accomplish and tell them to call back in a few months or how ever long it takes to get thru the list. For example say start the diet by making GFCF breakfast, add cod liver oil, call Bto3, that would be step 1.

I am able to combine the personal with the clinical (see below) and I live in the "real" world. I'm not afraid to say, "Autism sucks!" and then become proactive.

Why I became a
Rescue Angel:
I understand the frustration and the "you cannot understand where I am as a parent" feeling. I want to share with others we can recover our children mildly or significatnly and watch our children return to us and the world. I hope to allow my experiences as a mom, a woman, a wife, to give assurance that "YOU ARE NOT ALONE!" I hope in doing so that I could help to overcome the depression we all had at one time or another and how to put your thoughts and relationship with these beautiful children in the positive, healthy manner it can be.
