Autism: Now 1 in 68

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has just announced the latest round of autism rates,  based on surveys of children born in 2002. With a 30% increase in nearly two years,  the statistics are currently 1 in 68.

 

2014: 1 in 68.

 

  • 30% higher than 1 in 88.
  • 1 in 42 boys (2.1%)
  • 1 in 189 girls (.5%) 
  • 1.2 million people under the age of 21.
