Meet Our August Expert Guest Editor: Dr. Ernesto Gutierrez, M.D.

This month, we welcome Dr. Ernesto Gutierrez as our expert guest editor! Dr. Gutierrez is President of the World Stem Cells Clinic and our expert is Stem Cell Therapy.

Get to Know Dr. Ernesto Gutierrez:

I can’t start my day without:
First thing in the morning is a 16oz tumbler cup filled with cold water mixed with a supergreens extract supplement, a scoop of water soluble fiber, and a satchel of Berry Blast which contains tons of antioxidants. I couple this with a multivitamin, probiotics and an enzyme blend for muscle repair. I drink it during my 20-30 minute walk/jog with my dog.

When I travel, I always make sure to pack:
For some reason toiletries are always the first thing to go in my suitcase. In fact, whenever I have to pack, I first go in the bathroom and collect my travel toiletries before I even pull out my suitcase from the closet. Then I add enough underwear for as many days as I will be gone. I now have a spare set of phone/iPad charger which is always in my bag so I no longer worry about that.

I like to stay healthy during the summer by:
Drinking lots of fluids. I find plain water to be quite… plain and boring so I normally drink iced teas and coffee. I also try to make sure I eat at least one raw vegan meal a day. Raw fruits and veggies have tons of water and easily absorbable nutrients which make them ideal to stay hydrated and nourished.

I believe the key to your child’s success is:
Patience and dedication. Every child is different and as such what worked really well in one case might not work in yours. Keep trying different things, keep testing and pay attention to the results. Find out what works with your child and do more of that.

My first piece of advice to you is:
Don’t give up. I know from dealing with hundreds of family members of autistic kids that it is at times discouraging and frustrating but keep in mind that scientific research is being done and what wasn’t possible yesterday is probably possible today. And if not, it will surely be tomorrow. Be open to new possibilities but most importantly, when evaluating them, do so with your head and not with your heart. It is hard to do, I know, and that is why you should trust professional, qualified, experts with advice.
